Sports Physicals
Sports physicals help assess whether an athlete can safely participate in organized sports and physical activity. Evaluations generally include review of medical history, prior injuries, medications, cardiovascular symptoms, concussion history, vital signs, musculoskeletal assessment, and overall physical health screening. Our providers can identify conditions that may require further medical evaluation before athletic participation.
A sports physical is not intended to replace a comprehensive annual wellness examination with a primary care provider. Athletes experiencing chest pain with exercise, fainting episodes, unexplained shortness of breath, known heart conditions, or recent severe injuries may require specialty or emergency evaluation prior to participation.
